Fig & Owl didn't start as a business plan.
It started as a craving.
The kind that hits you on a trip. A tart in a Paris side street. A tiramisu in a Roman trattoria. A Japanese shortcake from a bakery window in Tokyo. You come home, and you can't find anything like it. So you make it yourself.
That's still what drives every recipe here. Not trends, not what looks good on a grid. The memory of a flavour that moved us, and the obsession with getting it right until it does the same for someone else.
Slowly, we found our people. Those who taste the difference, who notice the details, who believe a really good cake is worth caring about.

Trained, then taken further
Fig & Owl grew out of the Swiss Lanka Hotel School, a patisserie built on classical training and a lot of stubbornness. We dedicate countless hours to perfecting our recipes so every cake lands on the right balance of flavour and texture, not just the right look.
A really good cake is worth caring about.
